Fountain House is a clubhouse that assists and is operated by men and women recovering from mental illnesses. Built as a clubhouse in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen in 1948, Fountain House serves to fight the stigmas associated with mental illness. Members are involved in running every aspect of the house, from kitchen, to the education department, to the horticulture, where this project takes place.
